Janice Vien RN, CIYT (Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher)
Janice has been practicing yoga since 1982 and teaching since 1989. She has an Iyengar Yoga Junior Intermediate 3 Teaching Credential. She brings years of dedicated practice to her teaching along with knowledge of the body gained from her background in nursing and massage therapy. She has guided many of the other Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers in NH and VT, helping them attain their certifications. She enjoys sharing yoga with beginners as well with seasoned practitioners and teachers.

Nancy Edgar-Howard M.Ed, RYT
Nancy is a life-long educator and adventurer. She loves to teach and be active in the outdoors. Nancy has been doing yoga since college, and has been a serious practitioner of yoga for the last 15 years. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys gardening, reading, skiing and time with her animals. She hopes to share her love of yoga with a group of students at The Yoga Connection.

Rick Lamont RYT
Rick is a dad of three wonderful children: Sarah, Ryan and Brett. Yoga found Rick in 1992 when he was the only person to show up at a yoga open house hosted by his wonderful teacher and dear friend, Phil. This “chance” meeting led to Rick attending Phil’s next class, and 20 years later, here we are; still breathing. Rick recently completed 200-hour yoga teacher training with Janice Vien at The Yoga Connection in Grantham, NH, and is now a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance. Rick looks forward to bringing his love of yoga to his classes.

Sondra VanderPloeg CIYT (Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher)
Sondra VanderPloeg, MA Ed., has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 2010. She completed a 90-hour Teacher Training with Janice Vien in March 2016 and continues to study weekly with Janice. An educator since 1993, Sondra has taught in classrooms, museums, and libraries – in her current job as an academic librarian, she teaches research skills to college students. Sondra appreciates the mindfulness of yoga and aspires to share the benefits of this practice with her students. When she is not on the yoga mat, Sondra enjoys reading, cross-country skiing, swimming in the lake, and helping her husband with his garden.
